- <snip> (more examples of bad support from supplier)

- What *IS* it about communications software suppliers that makes them
- so bad? The problems you are facing are so familiar; I've had the same
- battle with Cheyenne. My requirement is even more straightforward than
- yours; I simply want to upgrade to the latest version of their
- software, and I'm willing to pay!
-
- I can't honestly see why they treat customers this way. Obviously they
- are in business to make money (all businesses are), and a great way to
- make money is to satisfy customers and have them coming back for more
- product. I have money, I want their new products, I've spent much
- money already making voice phone calls, sending faxes, from New
- Zealand, spending more than the required software actually costs.
- Surely that should indicate to them that I'm a financial customer, and
- don't just want something for nothing!
-
- I've used the search engines to scour the web, looking for alternative
- sources for voice/fax/data software, and always, Cheyenne comes up as
- the only source of the software I want. I bought my modem a year ago;
- it came with Bitware v3, which is excellent software. It provides
- automatic reception of voice/fax/data, fax broadcasting,
- fax-on-demand, voice mailboxes, pager activation, speaker phone. It's
- just the best, from what I can see. It's ideal software for small
- business applications, with more capability, in certain ways, than
- I've seen even in Winfax.
-
- I'd love to live in New York right now; I'd wander over to their
- office, and confront them face-to-face. I want version 4; it's as
- simple as that. All I need to do is figure out how to convince
- Cheyenne to sell it to me!
